Johan Barnard

Operations Director

Johan Barnard is an innovative mining professional with the proven ability to develop and implement the strategic development of highly diverse projects within domestic and international settings. Possessive of highly adaptive and responsive communication and liaison skills, Johan has extensive experience in the establishment and management of multi-dimensional, highly profitable operations. Johan has extensive processing experience in crushing & screening applications and has been involved in product research and development for multinational crushing equipment manufacturers.

Some of his project exposure includes;

Gorgon LNG Development Project crushing mobilization, commissioning and operation of 5 separate crushing plants to an A Class reserve within stringent world class environmental regulations.

PNG LNG Development quarry superintendence and management

Coega Harbour Development Project: Quarry development and operational oversight for construction material supply.

Unicem Calabar Cement Operations, full turnkey mining services provision. Drill, blast, load & haul, development and dewatering.

Multiple crushing & quarrying contracts for various Mining and Civil Construction clients across WA including BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue Metals Group, Black Swan Nickel, Millennium Minerals Limited, Thiess & Leightons Group Companies and Sandfire Resources.

He holds a Diploma in Surface Operations Management as well as Western Australian Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Johan is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy

Mark Freeman

CFO

Mark has 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas and resources industry. His attention to detail and ability to identify value have seen him successfully undertake a series of senior executive roles.

Mark has a strong financial background which has graduated into a focus upon productivity, cost control and considered growth.  More recently, as Managing Director of Grand Gulf Energy Limited, he rationalised the operations and identified successful growth opportunities. 

In 2015, Mark’s professional achievements and community contribution were recognised with a Business News 40under40 award.

He holds a B.Comm (UWA), Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (Finisia) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
